Lea Michele To The Rescue For Stray Kittens

Finding six stray kittens on the Paramount Studios set brought out the softer side in Glee star Lea Michele.
The kind-hearted actress has told People how she could not have left them to their fate, so stepped in to find them new homes.
“They probably would have been eaten, so I rescued them,” the Emmy-nominated performer explained.
Michele kept two for herself, while three of her new feline friends went to the show’s directors, and another one to Heather Morris, who plays Brittany.
The self-proclaimed big animal lover also revealed that she had come to the aid of dog she spotted tied to a fence while filming in Long Beach, California.
“I made the people at Glee send the dog to the vet, and we had him cleaned up,” the 24-year-old said.
“My mother always said, ‘Stand for something, or you’ll fall for everything.’ I feel like animals don’t have a voice.”

'Idol' Reject Refiles Lawsuit, Now Only Wants $100 Mil

Ian Benardo - the former "American Idol" contestant who sued the show for $300 million -- has withdrawn that lawsuit ... only to refile a new one for $100 million.

Benardo refiled his lawsuit for workplace discrimination and sexual harassment today in federal court. The original suit was filed with the NY State Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. A rep for Benardo says he was advised that the case was not under the jurisdiction of NY's EEOC - and instead he had to take the matter to federal court. Benardo is suing because he claims "Idol" producers exploited his sexual orientation and told him to "gay it up." As for why he dropped his astronomical demand from $300 mil to $100 mil -- Benardo's rep inexplicably says it was a "cleaner amount." Then again, $100 gazillion is also pretty clean.

Zsa Zsa Gabor Found Unresponsive, Rushed to Hospital

Zsa Zsa Gabor is being rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive.
Her rep says that she's being rushed to the hospital.
The news comes after health problems plagued the star, who has been taken to the hospital twice in the past month after suffering a broken hip from a fall in her Bel-Air, CA home in July.
Her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, called 911 and is on his way to the hospital now.

Taylor Lautner (Team Jacob) Refuses to Go Bicep-to-Bicep in RV Beef

Vying over Bella's one thing, but don't expect Team Jacob to be competing in this challenge anytime soon.
Taylor Lautner says he has no plans to take part in a charitable mano-a-mano push-up contest to settle a beef over a tricked-out RV.

Brent McMahon of McMahon's RV in Irvine, Calif., called a press conference yesterday, saying that he'd go bicep to bicep with Lautner to settle a lawsuit.
"We at McMahon's understand that people are afraid of werewolves and vampires," McMahon. "My guys aren't."
Lautner ordered a $300,000, 40-foot coach to use as a dressing room on the Pennsylvania set of his latest flick, Abduction, costarring Sigourney Weaver and Alfred Molina, that was supposed to be delivered by June 21. McMahon failed to deliver on time. When the rig finally arrived, it was in subpar condition, per Lautner, causing him "emotional distress" and "annoyance," and triggering a lawsuit.
Lautner's camp had indicated it would settle the problem if McMahon donated $40,000 to charity.
The RV man has denied wrongdoing, but said he would write the 40K check to the Children's Hospital of Orange County if he lost the push-up battle to the shirtless wonder. (And, no doubt, reap the publicity benefits of such a contest.)

But Lautner isn't biting.
"McMahon RV's response to our client's legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company, and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place," said Lautner lawyer Robert Barta.
While lambasting McMahon's "facetious suggestion" about the fitness challenge, the lawyer said the 18-year-old actor did "welcome the opportunity for him to resolve the matter by making a $40,000 donation to the charity of Mr. Lautner's choice."
Otherwise, it might be time for RV Guy to invest in some silver bullets.

Slash Files Divorce Papers - Bitter Split For Guns N' Roses Rocker?

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has filed for divorce from his wife of nearly nine years, Perla Ferrar. The Velvet Revolver rocker, born Saul Hudson, cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, according to legal papers filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Sources say the breakup is "extremely acrimonious", according to a celebrity website. Will it be a bitter split for the rocker and his latest ex-wife?

The pair, who wed in October 2001, have two sons, London Emilio, eight, and six-year-old Cash Anthony. Slash is asking for joint custody of the boys and lists the date of the couple's separation as July 15, 2010, the website reports.

The couple are said not to have signed a pre-nuptial agreement but he is prepared to pay spousal support, it is claimed. Laura Wasser, a lawyer for the English-born musician, did not return calls.

Slash divorced actress Renee Suran in 1997 after five years of marriage. The 45-year-old guitarist, who grew up in Stoke-on-Trent, quit Guns N' Roses in 1996. He reportedly met Ferrar, 35, backstage at a Guns N' Roses gig.

Fergie has changed her dark locks much lighter. Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has traded in her brunette locks for blonde hair. Fergie was rocking her new look while performing at the Sunset Strip Music Festival with former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The 35-year-old has reverted back to her old blonde hair and has reportedly done so for her new role as spokesperson for Avon's Advanced Techniques, according to InStyle.com.

Sandra Bullock Introduces Little Cajun Cookie, Opens Health Clinic in New Orleans

Sandra Bullock has revealed that she calls adopted son Louis her 'little Cajun cookie.' Bullock was speaking in a TV interview for the first time since her heartbreaking split from ex-husband Jesse James. The Oscar-winner avoided talking about the breakdown of her marriage during the interview with NBC's Today Show.

Instead she was focused on her new life in New Orleans and the adoption of her son. 'He's from New Orleans. He's a little Cajun cookie,' Bullock says in an interview to air in America on Tuesday. The actress said that she went through the adoption process in the same way as anyone else.

'It felt like it was time, you know? I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did.'

And Bullock told host Matt Lauer that she had not cared whether she adopted a boy or girl, or if they were black or white. 'We had always said that it didn't matter where the child came from... If they had issues that were medical issues, we didn't care.'

Bullock did the interview to promote her charity work with the health clinic at the Warren Easton Charter High School in New Orleans.

Snooki’s Boyfriend’s Ex: He’s Psycho, Controlling, Way Too Possessive

Yesterday we saw Snooki of Jersey Shore’s new boyfriend, Jeff Miranda, propose to the squat drunken reality star while shirtless and wearing fatigues with combat boots on the cover of a magazine. Jeff has only been going out with Snooki for a few weeks but he’s apparently serious about her and ready to make it legal. (For publicity and cash.) Radar Online has a couple of stories that shed light onto Jeff’s motivations and personality. First off is an interview with an ex girlfriend who claims that the guy is a controlling psycho creep who also proposed to her

“We only hung out for about two weeks before he proposed to me,” Giana Gerardo told RadarOnline.com exclusively. I had just graduated from High School. He came to meet my parents in a full suit! He’s psycho.”
The New Jersey native says she met Miranda in the fall of 2006. The pair was hot and heavy for a couple weeks before Gerardo says Miranda popped the question, and then things started to go sour.
“I broke it off with him because he was too controlling and way too possessive,” Gerardo said. “He always needed to know where I was, who I was with, what I was wearing out.”
In his interview with Steppin’ Out, Miranda told editor Chaunce Hayden that he wants to marry Snooki because “I love her and I want to be with her.”
But Gerardo says she doesn’t buy it.
“Jeff says he’s ‘in love with her’ and that he’s not in it for the fame, but if that were true, he wouldn’t be doing magazine shoots,” Gerardo said.

This guy sure is getting a lot of publicity for someone who tried out for Jersey Shore and was turned down. He may not be able to spin it into a multi-million dollar career like The Situation, but he’ll be able to charge for event appearances after he hits the scene as Snooki’s would-be fiance. Snooki hasn’t given an official response to Jeff’s proposal yet, as that might require being sober longer than she’s willing to tolerate. I hope she breaks it off with him. I doubt she could do much better at this point, though.

Most internet death rumors are deliberate pranks or seem to be made up out of the ether.
“Fred Savage dead” or “Fred Savage death” have been heavily trending for the past day, and at first it seemed like a run of the mill made up celebrity death hoax. However, this particular rumor has legs due to a young internet that isn’t so good at telling their 80s teen idols apart. As you probably recall, 80s teen superstar Corey Haim died back in March.
The Emmys were on last night, and like all award shows, they did an “In Memoriam” segment. PopEater explains what happened next:
During the Emmys “In Memoriam” segment, during which photos of the famously deceased appear alongside a sad song, an image of a young Corey Haim appeared that — to some viewers — resembled an equally-spry Savage. Of course, the words “Corey Haim” were overlaid on the screen, but shortly after it aired, the phrase “Fred Savage Dead” began trending on Google.
Results for that search term deliver grim (and fake!) headlines claiming the actor perished in a drunk driving accident (some even say his brother, Ben, is dead as well!), but viewers picked up on the rumor on Twitter and it spread. Many intrepid Twitterers are simply retweeting the “Dead” headline and bogus news links, while others are discussing how they saw his picture during the Emmys.

John Lennon’s Birthday In A Land Far Far Away, With Love From Yoko

John Lennon would be celebrating his 70th birthday on October 9, and his widow Yoko Ono is putting together a memorial in Iceland. Not Liverpool, where the Beatles began, not the Upper West Side, where John lived in his later life…Iceland. Is she trying to get Iceland’s tourism up or something? Could she not have picked something further? It’s not like folks totally adore her anyway, but now there’s going to be a lot of disgruntled fans (like us) who are thinking that maybe Yoko could have done something people could have been involved in, without having to sell a kidney for a plane ticket.
Yoko is going to light the Imagine Peace Tower memorial on the island of Vioey in his honor. She inaugurated the “tower of light” in 2007, which basically has prism like-searchlights projecting onto a white stone monument that has the words “Imagine Peace” carved into it in 24 languages. Which, in itself is beautiful and totally honors John’s legacy. We just wish it could have been more accessible!
The piece de resistance is that Yoko is going to perform with her band, the Plastic Ono Band! Right then, Iceland it is. Fine with us! We love you, John!

Michael Jackson could live again on the big screen - A former Jackson associate is trying to shop around a full-length movie featuring unseen rehearsal footage from MJ's 1981 concert series.

The man behind the deal is Ron Newt - who claims he was so close with Michael, that the singer gave him special behind-the-scenes footage from Jackson's 1981 Triumph Tour. Now, after seeing the success of "This Is It " - Newt tells TMZ he's put together a 64-minute feature film from his footage ... which includes several candid moments involving MJ and his brothers. Michael can also be seen dancing, singing and directing the stage production. Newt tells us he's already getting offers from several interested parties - with proposals reaching into seven figures.

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber postponed a scheduled concert tonight in New York when the 16-year-old started to feel a bit under the weather.
“Due to an illness and under doctor’s orders, Justin Bieber has been forced to re-schedule his Sunday, Aug. 29 concert at the New York State Fair to Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 7 pm,” the New York State Fair Website reads via TMZ.
Justin took to Twitter yesterday to explain himself: “Been super sick lately but u guys are carrying me. thank u for the love.”
Today the singer told his fans that he is trying to rest up and get better as soon as possible.
“Really dont know what to twitter…im getting rest right now and trying to recover from the not so good news from the doctor…,” Justin tweeted on Sunday morning.

Jamie Lee Curtis on ‘Freaky Friday’ Co-Star Lindsay Lohan: “I Just Have Compassion”

While promoting her new film You Again, in which she plays a mom, Jamie Lee Curtis sounded off on the new generation of young stars, including Lindsay Lohan and Heidi Montag, having trouble dealing with being thrust into the public eye.
Jamie Lee Curtis told OK! on Friday about her former Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan, “I just have compassion. I don’t know anything about the facts of any of the cases.”
Jamie says that she feels compassion for Lindsay being in the spotlight.
“What I have is compassion that a young child is thrown into the public eye and then has the media onslaught attached to it. Now, she’s made choices, I’ve made choices. We all have to live with our choices. But I feel empathy.”
When asked by OK! about Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery—and the antics of other reality celebrities, Jamie Lee (who has openly rejected plastic surgery herself and has let her hair go grey), responded, “I’ve never met them. The saddest thing for me is that there’s a generation of people who from the nature of the TV shows that they do, none of which I’ve ever seen, they are not actors, they are not people who have even studied film or even really known anything about performing, what it is to be a performer, they are real people who are then thrust into a public spotlight.”
Jaime, who has had much experience as an actress, thinks that the “media circus” plays a role in such drastic celebrity behavior.
“These young people who are thrust into a 24/7 camera on them and what we learn is the thing that makes the press is the most exaggerated behaviors. It’s never the mundane things that make the press but they learn that very quickly—what sells, what makes you valuable to us is when you f— up big time and that’s the message they’re being given. So then they’re thrown out there in this media circus– and I can never judge one of them because I don’t know them–but I feel tremendous empathy for this overwhelming set of circumstances. I couldn’t handle having a camera on me 24 hours a day.”
The former Halloween actress said if she had faced those circumstances as a young star, “I wouldn’t be married today if those people chased my husband [Christopher Guest] and I. My husband’s too private—he would have looked at me one day and said, ‘sweetheart, I can’t do this.’ ”
Jamie Lee recalled she came of age in a gentler time.
“I dated Adam Ant at one point. I remember being at a restaurant and a guy jumped out of a bush and took a picture of us. That was like the extent of the big uuuh!”

Paris Hilton Corralled On Cocaine Charge In Vegas

Paris Hilton has skated on pot charges twice this summer. Now the seemingly Teflon celebutante has to deal with something potentially more serious after getting busted in Las Vegas late last night for possession of cocaine.
Here's what went down, according to the LVPD.
Hilton and gunslinging boyfriend Cy Waits were in a black Escalade on the Strip around 11:30 p.m. when cops saw what they believed was marijuana smoke emanating from the windows. They searched the SUV and found a small amount of cocaine on her.
Hilton, 29, and Waits, 34, were booked into the Clark County jail.
She was charged on a count of felony cocaine possession and released a few hours later. Her tweets following the arrest—"In bed watching Family Guy" and "Going to sleep. Good night everyone, Xoxo Paris"—showed no signs of trouble. Waits remained behind bars on a count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The arrest caps a whirlwind week for Hilton, who, with the help of Waits, managed to thwart a home invasion on Tuesday morning.
Hilton's lawyer, David Chesnoff, has cautioned that "people not rush to judgment."
After all, the heiress, who vowed to reform her party-hearty lifestyle following her 2007 DUI jail stint, did manage to avoid prosecution following her South African bust back in July (her friend took the fall). Weeks later, she was briefly detained in France for pot possession but not charged.

Report: Oxygen Tank Glitch Might Be Responsible For Death Martin Short's Wife

A faulty oxygen tank might have contributed to the sudden death of Martin Short's wife, Nancy Dolman, RadarOnline.com reports. Dolman died this past Saturday at the couple's Pacific Palisades home in California. She was 58. On Saturday morning, the Los Angeles City Fire Department went to their home in response to a 911 emergency call. In the 911 call, a woman is heard saying Dolman is "not breathing" and that "she's going to die.""This patient... was on oxygen, we had problems with the gauge here in the tank, she's off oxygen," the woman said.The dispatcher tells the woman to perform CPR. "If she is able to fight you she is able to breathe on her own," the operator said. "Is she awake and talking to you?" the operator asked."Yes she is," the caller answered. The woman on the call hasn't been identified. Dolman, best known for a recurring role as Annie Selig Tate on the TV sitcom 'Soap,' met Short in 1972 while both were working on a stage production of 'Godspell.' She was Gilda Radner's understudy, but quickly caught the attention of Short. They married in 1980 and five years later she retired from acting to raise their family.The couple has three children: Katherine Elizabeth, 27, Oliver Patrick, 24, and Henry, 20.

Brad Pitt Heads Back To Hurricane Katrina Site

Brad Pitt continues to dedicate time to New Orleans ever since the Hurricane Katrina disaster and he’s back there now to further help the community.
The actor took some time to speak with NBC News’ Brian Williams about his foundation Make It Happen, reports Just Jared. Pitt took him to a green home that the foundation built in order to benefit the residents who suffered due to Hurricane Katrina.
This weekend will mark the five-year anniversary of the devastating event. Other stars, such as Sandra Bullock, are also in the area to donate their time and attention to events that are going on.

Lindsay Lohan’s “Bad People” Are Back To Their Old Tricks

Lindsay Lohan is trying to get her career back on track after losing it totally in the last few months. Since hiring Britney Spears’ businesswoman to take control of her finances, it looks like some of her friends aren’t too happy with her new found sense of control.

Kim Kardashian’s empire continues to take over and now her perfume seems to be continuing her constant success.
Kim headed to her official site to announce that her fragrance, Kim Kardashian, won an award from ‘Shape’ magazine. Her perfume was awarded as the “Best Mood-Boosting Fragrance.”
Kim celebrated the award on her site: “I love that you guys feel that you can just spray on my fragrance and it will instantly lift your mood.”
She also gives credit to her fragrance team for helping her to come up with the best possible scent.
